Position Name: Programme Assistant with Emerging Infections

Division: Infectious Diseases ((Adv#109/2021)

Vacancy: 40

Education: Bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized University.

Experience: At least 3 years working experience in relevant field implementation of development programs. Also experience with implementation of TB program activities will be get advantage.

Requirements: Ability to adapt, persuade, listen and transform. Proficiency in English & Bengali. Excellent written & oral communication skills. Possesses a drive for excellence. Able to deal with ambiguity. Liaison with GoB Officials. Programme Implementation. Good  working knowledge with NGOs. Knowledge about Health System of Bangladesh. Skills in expenditure & budgeting monitoring.

Salary: BDT 397,970/- (annual) inclusive of conveyance allowances, house rent & other admissible benefits.

Other Benefits: Income tax paid by icddr,b, 14.8% provident fund contribution, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, festival bonus, group life insurance & subsidized canteen. Daycare and Transport facilities are subject to space availability.

Salary and Other Benefits: BDT 15,820/- (in total) per month, including house rent and transport allowance. Apart from this festival allowance and income tax will be paid by icddr,b.

Qualifications: HSC pass or equivalent educational qualification. At least 1 year relevant experience. Experience of running Android mobile phone. Advantage to work experience in health related projects will be considered as additional qualification. Understanding generally Bengali and English language. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older. Skills in MS Office, MS Excel, Email etc. Documentation & Record Keeping.

Job Description: Ensure treatment and follow up of TB patients. Receive and collect daily internal cash records. Downloading X-ray / test reports, distributing them to patients and collecting them properly. Understand and collect patient information through tabs / computers. Software operators such as mobile, tab, computer, printer, etc. and MS Word & Excel. Ensuring proper maintenance of X-ray machines as well as electronic devices. Fill in the required registry book. Visiting the home of a TB patient. Distribute project communication materials. Ensure updated information on tuberculosis patients. Visit area based pharmacies and keep in touch with them regularly.
