 Pathfinder International is a International NGO. It's based in Massachusetts, USA. It works on family planning, reproductive health, AIDS/ HIV prevention, maternal health and care. It working in more than fifteen low and middle income countries in South Asia and Africa. In Bangladesh they want to hiring for following position.

Position: Accountant

Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting. Sound knowledge in Bangladesh VAT and Tax rules & regulations. Must be a team player and good inter personal skills.

Experience: At least 4 years professional accounting and finance experience. Experience can reduce for right candidate. A combination of education/ equivalent/ related field experience that yields required competencies. Working experience with international NGO. Working experience in international accounting and finance.

Job Location: Dhaka

Requirements: Proven ability to manage consolidation process. Foundational knowledge in financial reporting process. Able to reconcile accounts. Advanced knowledge of Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word. Good knowledge in standard procurement processes. Sound knowledge of audit process, standards & guidelines. Able to learn & use accounting software applications. Good knowledge of and able to apply accounting standards, guidelines, principles, practices. Skills about trouble shooting and advanced analytical skills. Able to improve promote, processes excellence and thoroughness, demonstrate accuracy. Able to speak and write using English and local language. Advance written and oral communication skills using different forms of media. Able to translate complex financial concepts to all level and individuals & non finance managers. Reproductive health, sexual, rights services foundational knowledge of family reproductive and planning health practices, principles, services of assigned program. Demonstrated commitment to reproductive health services, family planning, gender, child health services, maternal and eradication of harmful traditional practices. Able to proven to influence using diplomacy skills with key stakeholder. Advanced planning skills, organizational, management and project planning skills. Able to meet deadlines, set priorities and multitask with minimal supervision. Able to coordination activities. Able to work independently/ with team. Able to manage steers effectively in fast paced environment. Able to detailed oriented & consistently accurate. Able to quickly learn new system, procedures, processes and adapt local practices to global standards. Able to thrive in a matrixed organization. Able to maintain confidentiality on work related issues.

Reports to: Finance, Direct Supervisor, Accounting Manager

Responsibilities: Reconciles balance sheet and records accounts including inter-company, cash, prepaid, accruals and advances. Processes and reviews regional office & other cash advance requests for accuracy & maintain required trackers. Review field financial transactions to verify compliance with Donor, Bangladesh Government, Pathfinder International  policies and regulations. Assists with fund management of various events at district and regional level. Assists in completion of financial reporting process in Pathfinder international guidelines & management requirements. Assists in ensuring all financial transactions/ records are up to date or compliant. Assist annual & periodic audits as needed. Works to identify to improve effectiveness and efficiency of financial procedures, process and assists to implement improvement initiatives. Assist procurement process, Training/ Events/ Workshops management, administrative activities. by reviewing various calculations and documents. Manages, leads, participates on cross functional project.
